Holland America Line Achieves Historic Booking Day, Highest in 150-Year History

Holland America Line booked the most cruises in its history on Tuesday, 11th July. Booking revenues also broke the cruise line’s record for a single day.

Bookings for 2024 and 2025 were the majority, indicating that travelers are eager to travel. They are also planning ahead. The bookings are a reflection of popular destinations such as Alaska, Europe and the Caribbean, as well as an increased interest in Legendary Voyages. Destinations booked included Australia, South America and the South Pacific, as well as Asia.

Gus Antorcha is the president of Holland America Line. He said, “We view a record-breaking booking day as encouraging for the entire industry. But for Holland America Line it’s a testament to the quality of cruise product we are able to provide to our guests.” They are booking their holidays for the next year, or even 2025. In the process, people choose the best service on board and the most memorable destinations we have to offer.

Alaska Up Close is a cruise line program that immerses guests in local culture through authentic onboard programming and cruise activities, as well as award-winning shore excursion.

Seven-day Caribbean cruises continue to provide a unique experience, as they allow you to see more islands in one trip.

Holland America Europe’s next seasons will offer a wide range of cruises, from the hot destinations of Greenland and Iceland all the way to the sun-kissed skies in Greece and Turkey. The itinerary ranges from week-long escapes to longer cruises that cover multiple regions. In 2024, two Pinnacle Class vessels will be homeported in Rotterdam (Netherlands), allowing guests to book cruises in Northern Europe and British Isles.

Legendary Voyages is a newly launched category of longer cruises that offers passengers itineraries with rich destinations, designed for longer stays. The programming enhances the experience in each destination.
