Carnival Cruise Line has announced that it will roll out new dining room menus in phases across its fleet after a successful test on Carnival Dream.
Carnival Conquest will be the first vessel to offer the expanded menus, followed by the other Carnival vessels over the course of the next year. Carnival Horizon, Carnival Sunrise, Carnival Vista and Carnival Radiance will all make the changes in the next month.
The new menus will be added to several Carnival ships in the U.S. each month until early 2024. Carnival’s ships based in Australia will introduce the new menu items next year.
New menus offer more variety in the dining room, thanks to dozens of dishes created by Emeril Lagasse, Chief Culinary officer, and Carnival chefs. Many new menu items are listed as Emeril Selects, which is a personal recommendation.
Lagasse explained that “food is a constantly evolving art. Our approach to the dining rooms is to feature a variety of new dishes and more international flavors, while complementing the Carnival classics which our guests love.”
Lagasse added, “We recently selected and tested more than 60 new recipes to be mixed into the dining room rotation.” “I am pleased that our guests enjoyed these dishes on Carnival Dream. We are excited to bring them to the Carnival Fleet.”
Carnival has provided a sample of what guests can expect to find on their newly enhanced menus.
Hawaiian Shrimp Poke is a tasty starter made with avocado, edamame and rice. It also includes a creamy spicy sauce with togarashi, chili, and wakame.
Roasted Duck Rolls – a tasty appetizer made from rice paper, scallions, and sweet garlic sauce.
Pappardelle Braised Lamb – a first course inspired by Italy, featuring tomato cream sauce with garlic and parsley.
Grilled Swordfish is a delicious seafood dish that comes with fingerling potatoes mashed, fava bean salad and cherry tomato in a saffron citrus sauce.
Cornish Game Hen – a delicious entree with roasted vegetables and pan gravy.
Salad Entrees : The Ultimate Cobb Salad, the Asian Chopped Salad w/Chicken, and the Beefsteak Salad.
Desserts include the Dutch Double Chocolate Pave – a rich, chocolatey cake – and a Banana Cream Pie.
